The rapidly growing company is currently searching for a motivated team player for a full-time Financial Analyst.   Reporting to the Controller, you play a key role in the Finance Shared Services team in the Company’s headquarters located in Gastown. You have recently obtained or are working towards a CPA designation. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Doctors’ Pay calculation and preparation
  • Responsible for business unit accounting related to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close i.e. preparation of journal entries including accruals, adjusting entries, intercompany transactions, expense allocations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and balance sheet and income statement analysis, etc.
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal and external consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Assisting with financial audit and liaising with the auditors
  • Researching and documenting technical accounting matters
  • Develop and document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assisting with the preparation and tracking of budget and forecasts
  • Assisting with billings and A/R collections as required
  • Perform special projects and financial analysis as required

 

Requirements: 

  • CPA student or recently designated with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Takes initiative and has strong interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
  • ERP experience an asset
  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks within the finance and operations environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
